Sea Ranch
Sea Ranch provides an unforgettable escape for those who love the outdoors. The rugged coast offers trails through forest and meadow, with headlands, coves, beaches, and tide pools to explore. Nature lovers will enjoy bird and whale-watching, while others picnic, canoe, kayak, enjoy tennis, swimming, or bicycling, or play the 18 hole Robert Muir Graves golf course. Three separate sports complexes feature swimming, tennis and saunas. Surf fishing and rock fishing are excellent. Steelhead are abundant in the Gualala River. Wildlife includes deer, fox, rabbit, and mountain quail. There is a children’s playground, and trips to Fort Ross and Gualala Park.
Sea Ranch is only 110 miles north of San Francisco, and the artisan town of Mendocino is about an hour away. Other excursions include historic Fort Bragg, the Anderson Valley, famous for sparkling wines, and the beautiful Sonoma Valley's wine country. Several nearby restaurants including the Sea Ranch Lodge and St. Orres offer fine cuisine.
